“They Call Him Russia!”

Shot on a single roll of Super 8mm film, with no editing or retakes, RUSSIA follows a poor young man from the Egyptian countryside as he confronts a haunting memory of his past and the lingering weight of his actions. Inspired by Emad Abu Saleh’s poem “Killer.”
