Bakish Rao: Plants in Struggle

Bakish Rao, plantas en lucha

Also known as Bakish Rao: Plant Resistance

"Bakish Rao: Plants in Struggle" is a science fiction short film that speculates on plantations and the future of planet Earth from the perspective of plants. By decentering the human perspective, this collaborative experiment brings together artistic languages, scientific debates, and Indigenous cosmologies. The film proposes a multispecies speculation to address the destruction of the Amazon rainforest, exploring forms of resistance against oil palm monocultures and ecological homogenization.
