Rider Kamikaze

ライダー神風

After being severely injured in an attack by yakuza, a young man falls into a coma. He is nursed back to health by an eccentric old man named Tomita, who subjects him to ideological conditioning based on the teachings of Emperor Hirohito and Nazism, transforming him into Rider Kamikaze, a modified human who fights left-wing activists in the name of the Emperor. An eight-episode independent action series, the film parodies the superhero conventions of Kamen Rider, combining elements of Kenpei-kun with exaggerated nationalist imagery and political satire. It was submitted to the 1988 Kamen Rider Grand Prix, where it received the Idea Award.
