The Telephone

Also known as The Fire Story

While Mr. Graham is at his club, the family cat knocks over a lamp, setting their house on fire. His sleeping wife and child wake up trapped by flames. The frantic mother telephones her husband's club for help, prompting a full-force response from the fire department, police, and ambulances. Mr. Graham and his friends rush to the scene. A brave firefighter scales a ladder to the window, safely rescuing the child first, then returning to save the unconscious mother.
