Karol Azevedo

Karol Azevedo, graduated in Audiovisual Production, is an animation director, animator, and video editor whose work moves across cinema, animation, and projection mapping. They have directed and written several short films, including Maratonista de Quarentena (2020, Short Film Corner – Cannes) and the web series As Aventuras de Fiu e Biu (2020). They worked as an animator on the feature film Na Rédea Curta (Telecine, 2022) and the short film Jussara (Gramado Film Festival 2023, finalist for the Grande Otelo Award 2024). In 2023, they made their documentary debut with Volta ao Mundo, Kamará (In-Edit Brasil) and edited Como Nasce um Rio (Panorama and Tribeca 2025), Babalu é Carne Forte(Cine PE 2025), and Guardião (International LGBTQIA+ Film Festival 2025).
