Johnathan Banes

Johnathan Banes is a British Doctor Who enthusiast and independent filmmaker associated with Johnny Who Entertainments. Inspired by his lifelong passion for Doctor Who and the Llangollen Doctor Who exhibition, he became involved in producing fan films and science-fiction projects, including Gene Genius (2004), a Doctor Who fan production featuring appearances by Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred. His involvement in the Doctor Who fan community was later documented in Doctor on Display: Llangollen (2022), where he discussed the exhibition's influence on his life and his journey into fan filmmaking.
